About Robert "Bob" Fraumann
Fraumann is Minister of Music at The Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in
Marietta, GA for 29 years. He is classically trained as a pianist and organist,
as well as a conductor. Beethoven is his favorite composer. His family is
musical, as well. Rick and Greg, his sons are both musicians and singers in the
contemporary Christian genre. His wife, Jan, was also a beautiful person and singer.
Bob's History
How do you get to Carnegie hall? Practice, Practice, Practice; the old joke
goes. but what's it like to perform with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra under the
baton of famed conductor Leonard Bernstein? For that, you might just have to ask
Bob Fraumann.
Fraumann who teaches, piano, organ and trumpet, said that of a lifetime of
musical experiences, one concert stands out as particularly memorable. That
concert took place in 1960 at Carnegie Hall when Fraumann sang four performances
of Beethoven's Ninth with the Westminster Symphonic Choir and the New York
Philharmonic Orchestra directed by Leonard Bernstein. At that time, Fraumann was a
graduate student at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ, where he was
studying conducting and organ.
Fraumann has been the Minister of Music at The Mt. Zion United Methodist
Church in Marietta, GA, for 29 years. One highlight of his tenure there was a
trip to Jamaica in 2008 with his youth choir singing 8 concerts. This was one of
over 50 choir tours he has made with young people in the last 50 years.
It might come as no surprise that Fraumann's family is also musical. His two
sons, Rick and Greg, are both singers in the contemporary Christian genre, and
his wife, Jan, is also a singer.
In April of 2007, Bob and Jan were honored by Georgia Senator, Johnny Isakson,
and the White House for celebrating 50 years of marriage.
Bob's Future Plans
When not performing, conducting, or teaching, Bob says that he enjoys
spending time with their children and grandchildren. Fraumann says that he
also enjoys
family gatherings at the beach.
Bob's Music So many people have wanted to have a place to get a copy of "To God Be
The Glory", Bob's divinely inspired "one of a kind" CD of Christian
Music Favorites by Bob on piano with a Very "Unique" Blend of
Classical Themes. As his fans can attest, "no one has
ever created a musical masterpiece with the likes of this one"...Enjoy!

Bob Fraumann is that rare combination of highly disciplined natural talent
coupled with a sweet, surrendered spirit. His one desire is to lift up Christ. With the piano or organ he is an artist. As a music director he is easy to sing with.As a staff member he was easy to plan with.Thank God he wants to continue to share his gifts.

I have worked with some wonderful music leaders over a period of over 41
years as a pastor in the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist
Church.Bob was the best
trained, most talented, and most cooperative of all of them.He has the ability to work with the very young, the very old, and all
those folks in between.He could
always pull off the simple thing, and also produce the great and grand
production, whether at Christmas or Easter.I am sure will find Bob Fraumann able to do the things you need to
have done.
